IT Helpdesk Technician


 

Job description:

· Installation & configuration of the company’s computer hardware operating systems and applications

· Attending to queries logged on helpdesk by branches / end-users

· Analyzing calls logged to discover underlying issues/trends

· Diagnosing hardware and software faults

· Testing and implementing new technologies beneficial to the company

· Travelling to branches for maintenance / setup of new stores

· Following up with end users to ensure issues reported have been resolved

· Maintain point of sale equipment at branches

· Provide Internal tech support for Head Office and Distribution Centre

· Supporting the roll out of new Software Applications

· Active Directory setup and Maintenance

· Carry out I.T installations, implementations, configuration, roll outs & other technical duties as required

· Independent, reliable and efficient approach to work

For the particular role we also expect:

· Ability to translate technical issues and concepts into business language

· Decision Making skills

· Flexibility towards working hours, willing to work in a 24/7 on-call schedule

· Good team player, highly motivated

· Regular and timely communication of requests / incident status

Requirements:

· A+ / N+ qualification

· Ability to think out of the box

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment

· Excellent communication skills

· Matric

· Microsoft operating systems and configurations

· Own transportation and driver’s license

· Problem solving abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
